Tom Green Citizens was formed by local residents who believe our community deserves a meaningful voice in decisions that could permanently affect the place we call home.

We are currently working to address the proposed development of large-scale data center infrastructure and associated on-site natural gas power generation in Tom Green County. Projects of this magnitude raise serious questions about air emissions, water resources, power infrastructure, noise, light, traffic, property values, environmental impacts, and the long-term effects on surrounding communities.

This is bigger than one neighborhood.

The decisions being made today could affect families, landowners, businesses, farmers, ranchers, and communities throughout the Concho Valley for decades. No matter where someone comes from, what they do for work, or how they vote, we will all have to live with the outcome.

That is why Tom Green Citizens is organizing.

We are working to educate the public, participate in regulatory processes, bring residents together, ask difficult questions, demand transparency, and make sure the people who actually live here have a seat at the table.

And that work costs money.

Donations to this fundraiser will help support expenses associated with our community advocacy, including:

• Legal and professional services
• Technical and environmental research and review
• Public education and community outreach
• Printing, mailings, signs, and informational materials
• Billboards and public awareness campaigns
• Website and communication expenses
• Community meetings and events
• Participation in regulatory and administrative proceedings
• Other organizational expenses necessary to support our mission

We are not backed by a billion-dollar corporation. We are neighbors, families, landowners, and community members pooling our time, resources, knowledge, and voices because we believe Tom Green County is worth fighting for.
